Arvind has an MBA (Sloan Fellow) from the MIT Sloan School of Management, Cambridge, MA and an M.S in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York. He maintains Series 63, Series 65 and California Life Agent licenses.
Prior to his association with the Liberty Group, Arvind spent several years in the technology industry in operational roles and ran a multimillion-dollar business unit with overall profit and loss (P&L) responsibility. He has experience with fiduciary responsibility for employee 401K benefits plans. He was also a visiting professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) co-teaching courses on entrepreneurship and finance. He has been on the advisory boards of several venture capital funded Silicon Valley startups.
The most successful athletes have coaches. Arvind is a believer in the role of a Financial Adviser as a trusted coach who guides clients towards their financial and retirement goals. He enjoys working individually with each client, planning together and guiding them through inevitable market ups and downs. Two of his favorite books are “The Millionaire Next Door” and “The Four Pillars of Investing”.
Arvind enjoys bicycling, tennis, yoga and tries to gets his family together for weekend hikes as often as possible. He has traveled worldwide, and speaks a few languages including Japanese. His hometown newspaper, The Los Altos Town Crier, features his financial column, Fiscal Fitness, every month.
